Successful Networking Event ‘From Bystander to Hero’: Building a Heartsafe Environment Together

Leuven, Belgium – 6 June 2026

Strong turnout and enthusiastic participation

The international Heartsafe INTERREG North-West Europe consortium looks back with great warmth and gratitude on the recently organized networking event for the citizen science project in Leuven, Belgium. Thanks to the large turnout and the remarkable engagement of all participants, the event can rightfully be called a great success.

Citizens at the heart of the project

Throughout the event, active citizen participation took center stage. It was inspiring to see attendees enthusiastically contribute ideas, ask questions, and share their personal experiences. This is exactly what lies at the heart of the project: working hand in hand with society to improve survival rates following cardiac arrest.
